This holiday season our giving mood goes way beyond educational grant opportunities.
Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities, has awarded us a perfect, 100% score for our fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency.
Most recently, they also ranked the NEA Foundation as the highest-rated charity in education policy and reform on their list of “naughty and nice” charities!
That’s high praise, and we are delighted!
Every year, Charity Navigator examines tens of thousands of non-profit financial documents to check how charities use donors’ support. They use a numbers-based rating system to assess how we sustain our programs and services and our commitment to good governance, best practices, and transparency.
And then they share their findings. They do this to help charitable givers and social investors like you make intelligent giving decisions and to encourage the nonprofit sector to always strive for excellence.
We will continue to work hard to keep the NEA Foundation on the “nice” list all year round and to make a difference for educators and students across the country.
