Kimberly M. Amen is a seasoned education leader with more than 30 years of experience in public education, nonprofit administration, and organizational governance. She currently serves as President of the Wyoming Education Association (WEA), representing over 4,000 educators and education support professionals and providing strategic leadership focused on advocacy, equity, and organizational sustainability.
Kimberly’s career includes senior leadership roles within WEA, as well as more than 18 years as an educator in Laramie County School District #1. Earlier, she served as Head Start Director and Education Coordinator for Laramie County Head Start, where she managed multimillion-dollar budgets and led programs recognized at the national level.
An accomplished grant writer and consultant, Kimberly has secured funding from public and private partners to advance early childhood education, family engagement, and access initiatives. She is a 2018 NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow and holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming.
