Past Fellowships

Since 2011, NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellows have been growing their global competencies and skills. The most crucial part of the program happens here in the U.S., as the Fellows spend a year learning how to transform their classrooms to engage students in global thinking. But an important part of a Fellow’s global perspective comes from the international field study. Here's where they've been!

“I felt at home in a classroom, with children, 7,000 miles away despite speaking a totally different language and having a different culture. Chinese teachers express the same anxieties about children learning math, about testing and about their future. I noticed the universal bond of teachers with students.”
