Program Timeline

During the conference, Fellows strengthen their peer-learning community. Global competency leaders and country experts lead workshop sessions, while facilitators guide the Fellows in specially designed community-building exercises.

Fellows continue to expand their global competencies and advocacy through online coursework designed by leading experts in global education.

The Fellowship also includes webinars that accelerate learning and deepen participants’ understanding of global education and the means to advocate for it.

Fellows will collaborate in their mentor groups to design projects that answer the following question: “How do we create global experiences in our classrooms?” with the intent to allow fellows to apply what they are learning from the coursework and webinar discussions while collaborating with peers.

A culmination of a year-long professional development program, the international field study will allow fellows to immerse themselves in learning about the history, culture, and education systems of South Africa during a 10-day visit in July, 2023.
