Darren Benson

Darren Benson and Holly Benson will attend the national American School Counselor Association (ASCA) conference which offers over 150 breakout sessions that stem from the four foundations of school counseling: defining, managing, delivering, and assessing. At the conference, both educators will learn how to: identify ways, including research-based practices, to work with students, parents, and staff who have been through a traumatic event; explain how school districts can use school counselors after traumatic events; identify ways to help build resiliency skills in students through social and emotional learning; and strategize ways to help students practice specific skills such as time management, organization, and self- motivation.
