As the February 1 deadline approaches to submit Student Achievement and Learning & Leadership grant proposals to the NEA Foundation, there’s no better time than now to take a look at some other great education grants applications that are due soon. Whether you’re looking for support to fund professional development-related travel, purchase books for literacy programs, or invest in extracurricular programs, there are several viable options for you.
- Fund for Teachers supports educators’ personal and professional growth by providing grants for global travel projects that elevate professional practice and student learning. The teaching grants can be as much as $10,000 for teams and $5,000 for individuals. The next deadline to apply is January 29.
- The AASL Innovative Reading Grant offers $2,500 awards that support the planning and implementation of unique literacy programs for students, particularly those that focus on struggling readers. The next deadline to apply is February 1.
- The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation offers $500 mini grants to school libraries for programs that encourage student literacy and creativity. The next deadline to apply is March 15.
- The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation’s Innovative Reading Grants encourage educators to develop in-class and extracurricular programs that improve student learning. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that foster understanding and deepen students’ knowledge. The maximum grant award is $10,000 per year for three years. The next deadline to apply is April 15.
